Yeah, I've been meaning to talk to Vivendi to see if they are willing to cut loose any of the production assets for the visitors to my site to enjoy. I'm sure there is a ton of great stuff (although I should point out that other people from the development team have posted concept art, models, etc on the Ogier forums and on their own personal sites). But either way, fake examples would be cool.

By the way, sorry for the multiple posts. The damn bookmark I saved has my post built into it. Sheesh.

Thanks. Yes, keeping track of resources (and planning) is a problem that needs to be adressed all the time in various ways. We struggled through the whole EFBB production but in the end I think we managed fairly well, partly thanks to structured documentation.

Unfortunately I don't think I am allowed to show you stuff from the actual production of EFBB - the publisher is the legal owner of the material. However, I have some stuff I might write about in future articles that could end up including "fake" examples that should illustrate the ideas. We'll see.

Nice article. It gives me the impression that keeping track of the various elements that serve different functions could quickly become a problem, especially for the other developers who have to use the various pieces but might have trouble remembering where to look. It would be interesting to know how it went for these people during the dev for BUTCHER BAY.

Any chance of seeing actual examples used in EFBB?

Looking forward to future articles...
